Palm Harbor Homes Joins ABC's Extreme Makeover: Home Edition for a Second Build

This episode of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition featuring the Brown family and their new home in Wellman, Texas aired on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at 8/7 Central on ABC as a two-hour special feature.

As a long-time builder of manufactured and modular homes, Palm Harbor Homes is perfectly aligned to assist Extreme Makeover: Home Edition with the important, time-sensitive task to provide a dream home for a worthy family in need. Building and delivering a high quality home with extreme customization in one week is a routine part of our job. Because our homes are built in environmentally-protected building centers with constant quality checks and then transported to the final home site, rain and other weather delays do not impact the build schedule. This has been the second time the popular television program has featured a home built by Palm Harbor Homes.

Meet the Family

Today, Johnny Mac, his wife Jeanne and his 12-year-old daughter travel to high schools sharing the story of Alex, their beautiful 16-year-old daughter/sister, who tragically lost her life last year in a car accident while texting and driving. Behind their truck they pull a flat-bed trailer with the mangled remains of Alex’s pickup truck as a vivid reminder of their loss. Their goal is simple: to save lives by raising awareness of the dangers of distracted driving. Read more about the Brown family.
