It’s self-proclaimed motto is to “Save Green by Going Green.” Covering everything from alternative energy sources to making homemade croutons to a rating for the latest and greatest in composting products, this site lays out the best ways to go green and save green.

Good Housekeeping’s green website offers a host of great tips on how to save money and spend wisely when you go green. Hint: Don’t drink bottled water. It’s possibly not good for you and definitely not good for the environment. Plus, you can keep that dollar in your pocket and just drink what comes out of the tap! Okay – so this one really stretches the limits of the whole “recycle and reuse” thing, but we couldn’t leave it out! You are going to have to check out the crazy and inventive ways that people have developed to recycle what they have into what they need! It will make you think twice before you throw away that miss-matched flip flop and an old pair of jeans!

Autoblog Green View Site

Okay – so we really like cars and are kinda skeptical about this whole hybrid thing. The Autoblog follows the automobile industry’s foray into green and gives an honest report on its efforts. Did you know that hybrids get more tickets? Hmmm. Definitely want to check this one out before making a hybrid part of your “get your green back” plan.

Master Composter View Site

This one definitely falls under the “How To” category for the “green-ite” who has moved a bit further down the train and wants to 1) reduce waste, 2) begin to grow some of your own foods and 3) take advantage of what you have to enrich your own soil naturally. While not very pretty, the Master Composter has a wealth of information for the next stage of “getting your green back.”
